Dhaka: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday said a global tender for the construction of the Padma Bridge would be floated by the end of the current month.

While exchanging views with the grass route level leaders of Shariatpur district Awami League, the PM said this at her official residence Gono Bhaban.

The work of the bridge would be completed if people vote to power again, the PM said adding that, the work would be done by the state financing.

Asking the leaders and activists of the party to remain alert against any plot like ‘minus two formula’, she said “We must be united to foil any conspiracy.”  

Leaders and activists of the party district unit were present during the meeting.
