Tungipara: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths at his mazar in Gopalganj.
After placing the wreaths, the Prime Minister stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of respect to the memory of the great leader.
Sheikh Hasina also offered Fateha.
A munajat was offered seeking eternal peace of the departed soul of Bangabandhu and other martyrs of the August 15 carnage.
Ambassador-at-Large M Ziauddin, AL Religious Affairs Secretary Sheikh Md Abdullah, PM's Military Secretary Major General Mia Mohammad Joynul Abedin, Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad and Special Assistant (media) Mabubul Hoque Shakil, among others, were present.
