Dhaka: BNP has announced to hold a gathering for Wednesday at Naya Paltan. An application is sent to Dhaka Metropolitan Police authorities seeking the permission of holding the gathering.
BNP present spokesman and advisors to the BNP chairperson Shamsuzzaman Dudu and assistant office secretary Abdul Latif Jony told it to the journalists on Monday.
BNP has called the programme demanding restoration of care taker government system, false case withdrawing and releasing the opposition leaders, protesting the mass killing, arresting the corrupted officials and protesting the arrest warrant against Tarique Rahman.
The government, on May 19, banned all kinds of demonstrations, including meetings and processions, across the country for one month.
