Dhaka: Bangladesh government has announced Tk one lakh bounty on head of suspected killer of garment workers’ leader Aminul Islam.
The Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday formally announced the bounty on head of Aminul killing suspect Mostafizur Rahman through a press release. The ministry urged members of the public to inform police if they know anything regarding the whereabouts of the suspected killer to police or local police station.
The release added that if anybody could inform police about the whereabouts of Mostafizur Rahman, son of Shamsher Biswas of Radhanagar union under Sreepur thana of Magura district then he would be awarded Tk one lakh as reward for the information and his identity would be kept secret.
An organizer of Bangladesh Centre for Workers’ Solidarity and present of Bangladesh garment and Industrial Workers’ Federation Aminul Islam went missing on April 4, 2012 from Baipail area of Savar. His body was recovered from Ghatail area of Tangail on April 6, 2012 and following publication of picture in newspapers his family members identified him aand claimed his body.
