Dhaka: Mobile Phone operator Robi Axiata Limited along with its insurance partners Pragati Life Insurance and Milvik (BIMA) of Sweden handed over insurance money claimed by a nominee of its registered subscriber.

Azim Uddin, son of Robi subscriber Borhan Uddin, who was the claimant as the nominee of his father. He expressed his gratefulness to Robi as the insurance money of Taka 18,000 will add some value to his life.

ASM Enayetur Rahim, Regional Manager Comilla, Abu Hena Mustafa Kamal, Center Manager of Feni WIC, Mohammad Nur Alam, Center Manager of Cox's Bazar, Mohammad Mirza, Bima Service Officer of CTG-Milvik Bangladesh Ltd. were present during the cheque handover ceremony held in Robi Walk in Center (WIC) in Feni, said a press release.

The deceased Robi subscriber Borhan Uddin, from South Kashimpur of Feni Sadar who was registered for BIMA life insurance in 13th September 2012 by Milvik Agent.

Last year Robi launched this innovative service to offer free life insurance coverage for the first time in the country for all its prepaid subscribers.

To register prepaid subscribers are required to dial *1216*3#.

This life insurance cover each registered Robi Prepaid subscriber aged between 18 -60 years will earn insurance coverage in every calendar month by using a minimum of BDT 250 worth of talk- time.
