DU teacher accused of sexually harassing female student

Dhaka: A Dhaka University (DU) female student filed a case against her course teacher on charges of sexual harassment recently.

According to the case details, Tahsina Zaman, a 13th batch student of Finance Department of the university lodged the case against Mohammad Salauddin Chowdhury, an internship teacher of Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) for sexually harassing her with Shahbagh Police Station on February 7.

The case details said Salauddin Chowdhury took the chance when Tahsina visited his room alone for submitting a report on internship.

Later, the victim informed the chairman of the department about the matter.

The chairman warned the teacher for his illicit activities and advised the student not to file a case against him.
