The state minister said this while inaugurating the freedom fighters' (FFs) database website at the conference room of the Ministry of the Liberation War affairs in the city.
The ministry has created the FFs database under its "Database preparation and mass awareness" project.

The Ministry of the Liberation War affairs created the draft database containing detailed information about the freedom fighters, who have been enlisted in the ministry concerned list or who received certificates signed by the Primer Minister and issued by Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad or listed in the final list published in the "Muktibarta" (Red Book) or published in the gazette.
The full database of freedom fighters including their listwill be available in the website www.molwa.gov.bd of the Ministry of Liberation War affairs.
The state minister said the government has taken the initiative to publish a flawless list of the freedom fighters so that the real FFs could get the benefits of the programmes undertaken for their welfare. He requested persons concerned to examine the information contained in the website of the ministry searching its upazila and district chapters.
"The FFs and their wards will no more be subjected to harassment from now on as any individual or an institution can get required information including real names and addresses of the freedom fighters from the website," Tajul Islam said.
If there is any wrong information detected in the draft database, it can be corrected in the database form taking print from computer with attestation by district and upazila commander (FFs) and can be send to the ministry concerned through the Upazila Nirbahi Officer by March 30.
Those freedom fighters, who have not yet filled in the database form, also can send their information through this method to the ministry within the deadline.
