Dhaka: The Ekushey Book Fair Policy Implementation Committee on Sunday conducted a drive and blacklisted 15 publishing houses for violating rules. The blacklisted publishing houses include Nawroz Kitabistan, Jyosna, Nabojug, Abishkar, Shuvra Prokash, Parobashi, Hasi Prokashani, Roop Prokash and Bartaman Samoy. The committee members found books of other publishing houses, Indian writers' book without copyrights permission and note books in the stall of the blacklisted companies at the Bangla Academy fair ground. The committee will decide on taking punitive actions against those publishing houses at a meeting tomorrow, said Bangla Academy Deputy Director Murshid Anwar. Books published by the Bangla Academy are still of the highest demand in the fair. The Academy has published 32 new books targeting this year's book fair. Ends/AMA/10/02/13
