Humayun Ahmed’s ‘Deyal’ published

Dhaka: At last the waiting of the fans of Humayun Ahmed came to an end. The much awaited political novel ‘Deyal’ written by the departed writer has published at the Amar Ekushay Grantha Mela on 20 February, 2013. ‘Deyal’ is the last novel written by Humayun Ahmed. At the same time it is the only published novel by Humayun Ahmed at this year’s book fair. After a partial publication of the novel in a newspaper, the High Court asked the writer to make some correction on Bangabandhu killing incident, mentioned in the novel. Humayun Ahmed did so before his death. Majharul Islam, the CEO of Annya Prokash said, “The complications relating to the novel was corrected by Humayun Sir, before his death. In this novel the writer highlights the history of Bangladesh’s politics from 1947 to 1975 period.” ‘Deyal’ is available at Annya Prokash stall at book fair and it will cost taka 285 only.
