Dhaka: Several cocktails were exploded in front of the opposition BNP’s Nayapaltan central office on Saturday morning when deprived Jatiyatabadi Chhtra Dal leaders were staging protests there against the newly announced full-phased committee excluding them. The protester also chanted slogans against JCD president Abdul Qader Bhuiyan Jewel and demanded formation of a new committee. The protesters also set fire to a covered van during their protest. The protesters also said a vested quarter dubbed Narsingdi Group misled BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in announcing the full-committee while BNP’s students affairs secretary Shaheed Uddin Chowdhury Anie is in jail. They also alleged that non-student and married people having several children had been included in the committee while regular students were sidelined from the JCD posts in the committee that created dissatisfaction among the rank and file.
