Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Tuesday hosted an iftar party for officials and employees of the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) and Ganobhaban at her official residence at Ganobhaban.

The Prime Minister went round different tables set for the guests, exchanged pleasantries with them and enquired about their wellbeing.

Before the iftar, a special munajat was offered seeking continued peace, progress and prosperity of the nation. Khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Moulana M Salauddin Ahmed conducted the munajat.

Prayers were also offered seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib and other martyrs of the August 15 massacre, martyrs of the War of Liberation and the heroes of all democratic movements.

Advisers to the Prime Minister Dr Towfique-e-Elahi Chowdhury and Dr Syed Modasser Ali, Media Adviser to the Prime Minister and AL President Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, PM's Principal Secretary Shaikh Md Wahid-Uz- Zaman, Military Secretary Major General Mia Mohammad Joynul Abedin and Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad joined the iftar, among others.

Besides, the AL lawmakers who took part in the ALPP meeting, also attended the iftar.
