Dhaka: Two new prosecution witness (PW) on Tuesday testified against the former BNP minister Abdul Alim at the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-2.
Md. Mobarak Hossain, 47, the acting chief librarian of Bangla Academy, and Azabuddin Miah, 39, an assistant librarian of the Academy testified against Alim as the seizure list witnesses.
The PW-30 and 31, said the investigation officer of this trial had collected many copies of different national dailies from their office on different occasions to produce those against Alim before the tribunal.
"I had authenticated the photocopies of those original copies of the dailies by signing on those. Other than me, my colleagues Ejabuddin Miah and Masumul Kabir had signed on those to authenticate. I can identify their signs," Mobarak said.
After their depositions, advocate AHM Ahsanul Huq Hena, counsel for Alim, quizzed them. The second tribunal adjourned the hearing till Wednesday.
Alim was indicted on June 11, 2012 on 17 counts of crimes against humanity committed during the War of Liberation.
