Dhaka: Several cocktails were exploded in front of the opposition BNP’s Nayapaltan central office on Saturday morning when deprived Jatiyatabadi Chhtra Dal leaders were staging protests there against the newly announced full-phased committee excluding them.

The explosions took place at about 10:00am in the morning in front of the BNP office which was almost empty at that time and only a handful of JCD activists were protesting their exclusion from the new committee.

No one was injured in the morning explosions that created panic among passers-by who were on their way to business and office.

Paltan police station OC Golam Sarowar said, “We’ve heard about the cocktail explosions and a team had been sent to the spot.”

But no one was injured or arrested either in the incident.
