Dhaka: The holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi, marking the birth and death anniversary of Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (Pbuh), will be celebrated across the country on January 25.

The National Moon Sighting Committee announced it at a meeting at the Islamic Foundation at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque conference room on Saturday as the moon of Rabiul Awal was not sighted on Saturday. The Rabiul Awal month will begin from Monday.

On this day, the 12th of Rabiul Awal of the Hijri calendar, Muhammad (SM) was born with divine blessings and messages of peace for humankind. He also passed away the same day.
