Dhaka: Communications Minister Obaidul Quader on Tuesday directed to transfer two assistant directors and five inspectors of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) for their alleged involvement in corruption.
He gave the order during a surprise visit to BRTA office at Mirpur, according to an official release.
They are-assistant directors Masud Alam and Subrata Devnath and inspectors-Abdul Jalil, Abul Hasan, Mobarak Hossain, Atiar Rahman, Ali Hossain Milon, Harun-ur-Rashid and Mizanur Rahman.
The communications minister also gave directive to take immediate action regarding transfer of BRTA chairman Ayubur Rahman and issuance of a show-cause notice.
