Mass Communication and Journalism Department and Alumni Association formed a human chain at the Aparajeyo Bangla of Dhaka University protesting the attack on the vice-chancellor's residence.

Chairperson of the department Prof Akhtar Sultana, Prof Golam Rahman, Mafijur Rahman, Robayet Ferdous and Film and Television Studies Department chairman AJM Shafiul Alam Bhuiyan attended the programme, among others.
