Rajshahi: The main opposition BNP will enforce a dawn-to-dusk hartal in all the 16 districts of Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions on Sunday if their detained leaders were not freed by Saturday.
However, the HSC and equivalent examinations scheduled for that day would be excluded from the shutdown plan, said BNP Joint Secretary Mizanur Rahman Minu in a press briefing in the city on Wednesday.
He also said the leaders and activists of BNP will organize protest rallies on Saturday throughout the districts, upazilas and municipalities in the two divisions.
During press briefing, Minu also raised several demands of his party.
BNP leaders Harunur Rashid, Asadul Habib Dulu, Motaher Ali Prodhan, MP, Azizur Rahman, Khaleque Chowdhury and Rina Parveen were present at the briefing, among others.
