Rajshahi: Voters are again casting their votes at a polling center at government teachers training college in word no.8 of Rajshahi City Corporation election on Saturday morning.

The repolling started at 8:00am on Saturday, said Returning Officer Shuvash Chandra Sarkar.

Earlier on June 15, the result of the center had been cancelled as defect was detected in the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) of a booth while counting the votes. But the re-voting is underway with ballot papers, not by using the the glitch-prone EVMs.

A total of 2,418 voters casted their votes in the center where councillor candidate Abdul Hamid bagged 1,888 votes and SM Mahabubul Haque Pavel got 1,767 votes in six booths out of seven.

Around 310 voters casted their votes in the booth marred by EVM glith.
