Dhaka: The Anti-Corruption Commission will quiz former communications minister Syed Abul Hossian again on December 3 over the graft allegation in hiring consultant in the proposed Padma Bridge project.

The ACC has already sent notices to Abul Hossian and former State Minister for Foreign Affairs Abul Hasan Chowdhury to be present at the Commission to face grilling on December 3, an ACC source said on Tuesday.

On September 3, Abul Hossain was interrogated by the ACC team over his alleged involvement in the country’s largest infrastructure project.

An ACC inquiry team on Tuesday quizzed five people over the graft allegation in the project, said ACC Public Relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya.

The team started interrogating former additional chief engineer of Bridge Division M Zafar Ullah, senior assistant engineer Syed Rajab Ali, Buet professor Dr M Abu Siddique, member of the National Housing Directorate M Sanwar Hossain and deputy director (Finance and Account Division) M Moniruzzaman at 10 am and continued it till 5 pm at the ACC headquarters in the city.

On November 4, the ACC inquiry team interrogated Prime Minister’s Economic Affairs Adviser Dr Mashiur Rahman in connection with the graft allegation in the Padma Bridge project.
